The splayed arch design includes three arches across U.S. 26 and one arch over Cornelius Pass Road. Protective railings are translucent in the drawings. Materials, colors and connection details are not decided.

Shallow, outward-splayed arches cross the roadways with a strong horizontal form. This option is open to the sky and creates the perception of a wider bridge. The design references the rolling West Hills and Coast Range visible from the bridge, as well as the historically agricultural valley.
